Former FC Barcelona Star Announces Decision

Tribute Video Celebrates Accomplished Career

On Thursday, former FC Barcelona forward Bojan Krkic made the official announcement of his retirement from football at the age of 32. The announcement was made in the Auditori 1899 at the club where it all began for him.

Krkic, who was born in LiƱola, Spain on August 28, 1990, began his career at Barcelona's famed La Masia academy. He made his debut for the first team in 2007 and quickly became a regular in the starting lineup.

During his time at Barcelona, Krkic won 14 major professional titles, including three La Liga championships, two Copa del Rey trophies, and two UEFA Champions League titles. He also represented Spain at the international level, earning 10 caps for the senior team.

Krkic left Barcelona in 2011 to join AS Roma, where he spent three seasons. He later played for AC Milan, Ajax, and Stoke City before joining Vissel Kobe in Japan in 2019.

In honor of his retirement, FC Barcelona has released a tribute video celebrating his accomplished career. The video features highlights of some of Krkic's most memorable moments on the pitch, as well as interviews with former teammates and coaches.

Krkic's retirement marks the end of an era for Barcelona and for Spanish football. He was one of the most promising young players of his generation and his achievements on the pitch will not be forgotten.
